The program attracted strong interest from students across different faculties at HUFLIT and was successfully organized with active participation from attendees.
Through the transfer pathway, students can prepare for international study while completing the first stage of their degree at HUFLIT. This approach helps reduce the overall cost of studying abroad while still enabling students to graduate with a degree from a prestigious international university. Notably, HUFLIT students may be eligible for scholarships of up to 50% of tuition fees, equivalent to approximately AUD 16,000, depending on their academic performance and English proficiency.
To participate in the program, students are required to complete 50% of the program credits at HUFLIT and meet the English language requirement. HUFLIT students also benefit from a more accessible English requirement: students nominated by HUFLIT are required to achieve IELTS 6.0, while direct applicants to Griffith University are normally required to meet a higher requirement of IELTS 6.5.
In addition to the bachelor’s program in tourism and travel services management jointly implemented by HUFLIT and Griffith University, the double degree program also attracted significant interest from students. This program allows students to pursue two different fields of study and graduate with two bachelor’s degrees awarded by Griffith University, providing broader academic exposure and strengthening graduates’ competitiveness in the global job market.
During the event, the Department of External Relations also invited representatives from SET Education Consulting and Training Services Joint Stock Company (SET Education) to provide guidance and answer students’ questions regarding visa procedures and related costs. With nearly 20 years of experience in international education consulting and student recruitment, SET Education is a well-established study abroad consultancy specializing in the Australian education market, with offices in four major Australian cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide. Through this collaboration, HUFLIT students can receive comprehensive support not only in Vietnam but also when connecting with services and information in Australia.
Overall, the information session on studying abroad and scholarship opportunities at Griffith University provided HUFLIT students with valuable insights into academic pathways in Australia and the range of scholarships available to support their international study plans.
