On March 19, 2026, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology (HUFLIT) officially established a partnership with Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University (NSCPU), Russian Federation, through an online Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony. This milestone not only marks the beginning of a new academic collaboration but also opens up promising international opportunities for students and faculty members of both institutions.

Although conducted online across two locations in Vietnam and Russia, the signing ceremony was held in a warm and highly formal atmosphere. Notably, the strong presence of NSCPU’s leadership team and many of its students reflected the university’s enthusiasm and sincere commitment to this new partnership with HUFLIT.

In his remarks, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, President of HUFLIT, emphasized that this collaboration goes beyond academic cooperation. It also represents a meaningful continuation of the long-standing friendship between Vietnam and Russia in the field of education. In an increasingly interconnected yet rapidly changing world, building a network of trusted international partners will help HUFLIT students strengthen their global mindset and prepare themselves to become responsible global citizens.

According to the signed agreement, HUFLIT and NSCPU will cooperate in a wide range of areas, including student and faculty exchange, short-term academic programs, joint scientific research, sharing of teaching materials, and the development of collaborative training programs. Both institutions will also explore opportunities for credit recognition and other forms of academic cooperation in the future.

The MOU will remain in effect for five years and may be extended by mutual agreement, laying a solid foundation for sustainable and long-term collaboration between the two universities.

NSCPU is a public higher education institution in the Russian Federation with nearly 40 years of development in teacher education and the social sciences. The university plays an important role in training high-quality educational professionals for the Volga–Kama region and across Russia. In addition to teacher education, NSCPU offers a wide range of programs in information technology, languages, psychology, culture and the arts, and social sciences, with curricula developed in line with federal educational standards.
