4 Months – 1 Journey – Countless Memories with Teikyo University Student

Four months seemed like a long journey, but it passed by in the blink of an eye. The “Cultural and Language Exchange Program 2026” between Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT) and Teikyo University (Japan) has officially concluded, leaving behind proud cultural marks and cross-border friendships.

A colorful journey of cultural and practical experiences.

Unforgettable cultural experiences

Starting with shy smiles at the Welcome Dinner, students from both universities quickly broke the language barrier to create countless memorable moments together. During their 4 months of studying and exchanging at HUFLIT, Teikyo students not only broadened their knowledge in the lecture halls but also immersed themselves in practical activities deeply imbued with Vietnamese identity:

  • Historical journey: Stepping back in time to learn and directly explore the Cu Chi Tunnels Historical Relic.
  • Connecting with nature: Embracing the brilliant sunshine and sea breeze during the field trip to Phan Thiet beach, participating in teambuilding activities, and enjoying a warm campfire together.
  • Cultural intersection: Trying on Vietnamese traditional costumes firsthand, enjoying local cuisine, and experiencing the hospitable, warm culture of the native people.
Brilliant youthful moments with HUFLIT Buddies.

The imprint of HUFLIT Buddies as “Cultural Ambassadors”

This exchange program certainly could not have been complete and successful without the close companionship of the HUFLIT Buddies. With a dynamic and welcoming spirit, HUFLIT students excellently fulfilled their role as “cultural ambassadors,” always enthusiastically supporting, guiding, and helping their Japanese friends quickly adapt to the new environment. This connection turned international friends from “strangers” into “familiars,” creating a second home for Teikyo students in Vietnam.

Radiant in traditional costumes at the Farewell Ceremony.

“Goodbye is not the end, it’s see you again”

The Farewell Ceremony took place in an atmosphere filled with a mix of pride and nostalgia. The tight hugs, sincere words of gratitude, and handed-out certificates marked a milestone of growth for all students participating in the program.
Today’s goodbye is not an end, but a promise for a future reunion. Thank you, Teikyo University, for always trusting and choosing HUFLIT as your destination for academic and cultural exchange.
