HUFLIT Expands Partnerships with Leading Universities in China

During an official visit from June 9–13, 2025, a delegation from Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology (HUFLIT), led by President Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, successfully completed an important working trip to China. The delegation held meetings and working sessions with prestigious universities located in key cities such as Guilin, Wuhan, and Chongqing.

The mission aimed not only to reconnect with long-standing partners but also to expand academic cooperation across various fields, including languages, technology, tourism, and healthcare. In addition, the visit promoted the development of student and faculty exchange programs, teaching internships, and joint academic initiatives, as well as the establishment of international-standard joint training programs, particularly in the field of Chinese Language Studies.

China – A Strategic Destination in the Internationalization of Education

The visit provided HUFLIT’s delegation with valuable insights into a modern and well-organized China, where transportation, security, and social systems are systematically developed to support a stable and professional academic environment.

Notably, China is actively promoting the global expansion of its education, technology, and cultural ecosystem, with Vietnam identified as a key partner market. The so-called “Baijia Chuhai” wave reflects the Chinese government’s continuous efforts to expand scholarship opportunities within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Leading universities such as Wuhan University, Chongqing University, Southwest University, and Guangxi Normal University expressed strong interest in strengthening collaboration with HUFLIT. Proposed areas of cooperation include faculty training, university management experience sharing, scholarship programs, and joint academic initiatives.

This trend reflects the broader global movement toward deeper international cooperation in higher education, and HUFLIT is proactively positioning itself to strengthen its role as an emerging academic partner in the region.

HUFLIT is committed to building a borderless academic environment, where students can learn, explore, and grow within a fully internationalized educational setting.

“HUFLIT aims to create a borderless academic environment where students can study, experience, and develop in a truly international academic setting,” shared Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, President of HUFLIT.
